Master of Science in Microbiology Urges Others To See Shen Yun

LODZ, Poland—People who love ancient China’s divinely-inspired cultural heritage, had better see Shen Yun Performing Arts' currently at the Teatr Wiekel (Great Theater)before it leaves in two days is the message from Krystyna Tarkowska, a Master of Science in Microbiology who was there with her husband, Stanislaw.

“This is exactly why I came today to see the show. I am captivated by colors, dance, the specific art, Chinese dance,” she said.

“I love other cultures,” she said of the spectacular that unfolded before her eyes.

Ancient legends, folkloric tales and modern day events are portrayed in classical Chinese dance and music by exquisitely dressed dancers, vocalists and solo musicians that interact seamlessly between the stage, 3-D digital backdrop scenes are complemented with a harmonious fusion of Western and Eastern orchestral composition.

“I had an idea about Chinese culture, because I was interested in it,” Mrs. Tarwosky said. “This is why I am satisfied with what I saw. I was very pleased to see the live orchestra, it was excellent, magnificent—and in addition to it—this backdrop, wonderfully animated … made me aware once again how huge China is, how diverse its landscape is, how many colors there are. It was made very well.”

“Those who have not seen the performance yet, should come to see it in order to broaden [their knowledge] about Chinese culture and get familiar with it,” she urged.

Her husband, Professor Tarkowsky, is a researcher of a scientific institute in Lodz specializing in the field of public health and industrial medicine.

“I have similar feelings as my wife,” he said. “My impressions after seeing the performance are very pleasant: It was relaxing, the music was truly heavenly and the whole ambience, colors, everything was penetrated by gentleness, it was filled with human optimism, so nicely prepared.”
